Hello, Nuclear

I can’t believe it’s been a year since my last blog post. I suppose there wasn’t much to say during my long hiatus – but I’m back now, and I’ve done a complete 180!

I’ve always been eager and deeply interested in bioengineering, and I still hope to find my way back there one day. For now, though, I’m genuinely happy where I am and excited to explore engineering and science beyond the boundaries of bioengineering. Enter: Nuclear.

If I’m being honest, nuclear was never on my radar. The only reason I began to broaden my perspective was because of how daunting the job search felt. I was forced, in the best way, to look beyond what was familiar. And I’m really glad I did.

I love bioengineering but i adore engineering as a whole. There’s something deeply satisfying about fundamentals, principles and problem-solving that transcend any single discipline. Given the opportunity to deepen my understanding of engineering principles within the nuclear sphere feels both challenging and exciting. At first i was reluctant. However I realised that reluctance didn’t come from disinterest but rather unfamiliarity. Nuclear felt intimidating because I simply didn’t know enough about it. Now, I’m beginning to realise how innovative, complex, and genuinely fascinating this field is (and sustainable)! And come on, what’s more exciting than novel technology and innovation?

So, hello nuclear. Here we go.
